One of the most common mistakes small businesses make online is neglecting to tell people what they do. If you are interested in losing money by making common mistakes, I really suggest to just forget about an “About Us” page on your site. Who cares what kind of business you are in and the products and services you offer?

Keep it vague! Preferably a single page and very long copy with testimonials thrown all over the place. But do not mention yourself or what exactly you are doing to solve your customer’s problem. And do not mention the product or service that you offer before you have written 5000 words for your visitors to scroll through.
